The warmth and the love of family, especially Aunt Mindy. Some of her many homemade treats/ dishes/ meals:
Kaya Kueh [A traditional Nyonya/ Chinese steamed glutinous rice cooked in coconut cream and served with Kaya (Coconut Jam)]
Chinese New Year Ribbon Biscuits
Lor Mai Kai (Steamed glutinous rice with chicken, Chinese mushrooms and Chinese preserved pork: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lo_mai_gai)
Kerabu Sauce for rice porridge.
Gyoza (Pork Dumplings) served with Homemade Chilli Oil - Uncle Will and NickG helped out in the kitchen making these pretty dumplings. I am very proud of my Uncle helping out in the kitchen! "It's about time for you too, Dad!"
Chicken Pies and Curry Puffs
Cinnamon Buns and Chicken Floss Rolls
Assam Laksa
Char Koay Teow (Fried flat rice noodles) - So far, it was THE BEST I have ever tasted in Australia!! The real Penang Char Koay Teow, aye!
Fried Belacan Chicken
BBQ:
Chicken Kebabs and Fish Balls Kebabs (DamienG's fav!)
Chicken Satay served with mouth-watering Satay Sauce!
Homemade... Homemade....!!! The way to go!!! Hehe...
By uploading and blogging only about the food prepared/ made by Aunt Mindy, not only did the photos make me salivating, they made me think of a week's break in Melbourne was all worth it - family, food, shopping. I miss them... My loved ones. =)

Aunt Mindy sounds like a real treasure. If I cooked all that food, I'd be exhausted.
Indeed she is, Mel. I, too, do not know how she copes but I reckon she is born a Domestic Goddess. :)
Oh my gosh. I am an ang moh here but I've eaten nearly everything photographed in this post, and now I have the worst food cravings imaginable. Just out of interest, does your aunt Mindy know Poh Ling Yeow? She looks familiar and I'm wondering if that's where from.
